Hello JNC ! So I finally decided to make a build thread / view thread for my GX81.
Here is the run down so far...

Year : 1988
Make : Toyota
Model : MARK II
Grade : Grande TWINCAM24
Shape : Sedan type
Chassis : E-GX81-AEPQF*
*Engine : 1G-GE
*Trans : A340E
* Axle : G252
* Option : Autodrive, TEMS, Grande TC24 interior.
Colour : 8E3

What I have done~

> Gathered an entire W55 GX81 5-M/T setup (working on getting that in )

> Bought a set of SSR MK I. 15X7.5JJ +5 5H / 15X8.0JJ +12 5H ( Falken Ziex 195/55, 205/55 Respectively )

> Bought ( luckily ) A set of Kei Office 32 way Fully adjustable Coilovers with camber plates and hubs welded. Hubs welded turned out to be a burden in the end as coilovers welded directly to cast hubs are illegal unless welded to part of the original strut.

> 2X 2.25 Inch Steel straight pipe, De cat, 1 resonator per pipe, silencing plates to prevent 100 Db +

> Wood grain Handle

> 35% Visible light window tint.

> Genuine Slit Spoiler installed

> Spoiler removed ( crudely )

> Discovered rust under the boot seal (not much but hidden none the less... )

> Fitted Chrome Fender Mirrors ( B310/ early Eighties Datsun pieces ) Had old mirror plates fitted.

> Currently running BBS Mesh 15X6.5JJ +42 W/Centre Caps

> Numerous oil changes to keep the 1G ticking well into the future ( I have no intentions of running a JZ motor in this car ! )

> JAF badge ?

> Rolled rear guards ( hammar + wood )

> bought the beginnings of a 1G ITB setup...

> National BF-921 Revolving Purple Light.

> more to come ! !

And me...
University student on a budget which means a quality build will take some time !

New Zealand.
This countries primary imports are ex JP, so anything that was sold domestically in JP came here soon after. Plenty of people here daily stuff like this.

Also...
My SSR Wheel Nuts have arrived along with a NATIONAL BF-921 Revolving purple Light !

Nice car. I've got a couple X8 Mark IIs myself, but hardtops. Don't see many Mark II sedans being modified, looks awesome with those wheels and the rear diffuser.

Pretty envious of the import laws you NZers get haha

haha yeah our laws were great, now anything older than 10 years up to 25 years is unimportable unless rare car (under 500 units or something) OR you have lived in the country of it's origin for 2 years or more, then you can bring it back with you.

As with my car, yeah I used to be annoyed about it being a sedan and I wanted a hardtop, but how many people can say they own a high spec Sedan GX81 MARK II. They are actually rarer than their hardtop counterparts as fewer people bought the sedan in TC24 spec. All in all I have grown to love it haha.
