Hey guys, just joined up here. Feinding Gogi Pudding...somehow.

Here is my 78 4 door baby. I need to do some projects on it soon, I am hoping you guys can be that influence!

Check out all that juicy room there!

New wheels for sure, thinking maybe going w a bigger 195/70 tire on a 13 wheel, bit of a rally look or something. If any slamming goes down it'll have to be next spring with access to a garage and time to source the necessary parts to do it properly without a ton of camber and handling issues. I need to start accumulating the necessary info! Any threads youve made on doing such a project, let me know.

This is low km, smooth running but im sure could use a little love. I want to change the valve cover gasket for sure. Polish the cover in the process.

More pics soon.

Cheers!

Hoova

Hi Hoova

Lots of info can be found for these great old girls at www.rollaclub.com

Here in Australia that model was called a KE30 or KE55 (our corolla's had K engines not T engines) but I imagine things like the body and suspension will be similar.

Hope that helps!

I race a KE35 (probably should call it a TE35 since it has a 2TG)

Right on, thanks!

One thing I am really curious about is wheel sizes/ offsets. Hearing offset around 0 to -8 will be ok, confirmed? Would probably just get into something around 7" wide... nothing too crazy.

i had a 15x7 zero offset wheel on mine and it fit but the guards have been lipped and the rears flared a little. i think anything that is more negative than that would be a problem

have a look at the rides thread on rollaclub, you will get a fair idea what you can fit from there.

So zero leaves plenty of space for the struts? Thanks for the links.

That is a gorgeous shot right there. It really shows all the nice styling details of the car. And the only way it could be cooler is with some deep low offset wheels :)

Welcome to JNC !

Haha, yeah, not yet

I'm obsessively looking for some wheels. Heading back to Vancouver this weekend, the big city might have more to offer.

Something is in the works, this was just checking for fit. They stick out a liiiittle bit, I am thinking knocking the little lip inside there flush on the inside of the wheel well will solve any problems.

I'm definitely sticking with it, I dont think I would bother putting a ton of money in, I would love a standard tranny though, but the mechanics are way beyond me. I havent even begun research into how to get more out of the engine. Oh and there are some door dings, I misread the post above but dont ask haha... I think I had just viewed a picture of a guys ride with a japanese subway hand-ring in his window  crazy.

Some new wheels I did just put on though, like a couple days ago!
