Got her last July and she's been my daily/project ride since then. Still got a long way to go on restoring her to mint beauty, but nothing I can say on her dependability and reliability on my daily travel. :)

Hope I could get some tips and opinions on making my ride better.

Here is she:

Sorry for the bad reso pics I got, I've done some night shots there and I guess the lighting was really bad.

Here's one day pic I got during a car show (together with a first gen Lancer and Tercel):

By the way, I'm also from the Philippines. And I hope you could help me on getting my restoration plan on the right track.

Thanks guys! :D

@kylefoto: I think there are none or there are must do an in depth search and a hell of contacts to get a set of full chrome ones here. Just got lucky when I got her, it's all intact. :)

None at the moment Cman, we're actually looking for the same parts, but I'll inform you if I get a hold of some good spare ones.

How's your project? Could you post some pics too? hehe :D

Thanks! :tu:

These cars can still be found at the Junk Yards around California.
Last one I saw was complete and in very good condition.

Nice Corona Oracle!

I have a wagon, though my car needs some body attention, engine and suspension isn't much of a worry.

Added a rear wiper a few months back, got the motor and mechanism from Australia, there are plenty of '79 Coronas there in tip top shape..

Engine was a bit filthy, but runs like a charm.. still does 138kph 8)

Rolls on Yoko's S306 13" 185 70 Aspect Ratio, but planning on lowering next year to 55 Aspect Ratios for a lower ride and looks for the city rides, and an extra set of 14" steel wheels with 70 Apect Ratio for long trips..

Where was the last photo taken? anywhere in NCR? I would like to get in touch with Oldschool Toyota owners .

Good day!

Thanks Dongskie!

Great ride too, I bet we have the same case with our car body conditions, but you're right there on the suspension and engine, really brilliant! haha :D

Yup I shot those picture at a parking lot near Marikina River around 3 in the morning, a part of my roadtrips after work. haha

Did you shoot those photos at the Fort of anywhere near the place? hehe

I like the stance of your car and the fender mirrors! :)

Hope we can meet up at EBs sometime, the oldschool pilipinas community will have a Christmas Party at the Liberty Center along Shaw Blvd. on the 27th December, 10am onwards, hope to see you there, I'll introduce you to our fellow Corona lovers and old-school lovers as well.
