Just thought I'd update this tread. Sofar, I was ablr to source a twinsideraft manifold for my 20r. For now the 18rg transplant is on hold till I get a new head(found a crack in it  Ihave a 40 mikuni and bored it out to 36 venturi and took out the front sleeve. Stock double valve springs. Also will be getting some headers too by nextweek.

Yes! got the siderafts up and running this morning and by lunch was done with the linkage and by 3pm was off for a test drive. Man, the sound of those twins breathing was awsome. Was grinning ear to ear :D

Anyway, was not able to put my erson cams and instead settled for the mild cam that I have till i get the right performance springs. Still, the difference in power was evident right away from the stock carbs. A bit more tuning and i think she will be good for now.

tomorrow , I will try to make a small vid of the car running. :D

Took a small vid clip of the car running. Still needs some tweaking as the carbs kinds of spits a bit. Looks like a bigger air jet is needed also need to re-adjust the rockers again. So here she is.

I'm not using the oem pedals anymore and have repalced it with a sparco bolt-on pedals and welded the gas pedal in place.

Here's a pic of d set-up. I have to use a camry clutch pedal and had to modify to fit my car.

I used a 1990's toyota camry clutch pedal which had to modify to suit. The camry had d same "bend" like the early toyota trucks had. You could probably use the early 80's truck for the conversion. Unfortunately there was no truck at the j/y here.

ok, like the saying goes, use what you have at the moment. So id ecided to to install back my USDM bumpers. Before doing so, I decided I would like it ot be tucked in further. I had to drill out the gas charged 5mph bumper shocks. I also had to cut the end tip about 2" to make the bumper flush as much as possible. Not done yet as I still have to do some welding to hold the bracket that hold the bumper n place. Here she is for now. tomorrow I will do the front bumpers.

In this picture, the bumper is still hanging and not bolted on. Once It's done it will have about an inch clearance from the body.

Made my own air filter. Screen used came from a door screen. Have to put 5 layers in criss-cross pattern and then a stocking over it. i know it will be a fire hazard. I will get the K&N filter cover boot to replace it.

It registration time so I need to pass the snff test. So far I failed twice!! I'l get that right mixture. Here's the new headers:
