So, just got this a few minutes ago, so sorry for the bad pics.

It's a 78 mx32 cressida. I decided against putting the 7mgte into the x7 because I want to keep it more a reliable daily, and as soon as I turbo it, that's no longer going to be an option, lol. So I traded my turbo supra parts car for this today :D. Runs and drives, title, a tiny bit of body damage, and a few missing interior parts, but overall a nice car!! Suspension is 100% blown, lol.

Plans are unclear, just couldnt pass up the deal :D.

I think it looks like a 4 door nova or something, lol.

Dont worry about me, lol. I've had older imports my whole life, this is the longest I've gone without one, so I felt kind of wierd hagning out on a nostalgia site when the oldest car I had is an '85, lol.

Started out in high school with an '80 cvcc, and then got a '69 510, then a '73 620, and eventual had 2 '69 pl521's. Ended up selling all of them though. Nice to get my hands on another classic :D. I missed having an old car.

Awesome. These respond so well to a little TLC and I think its good to keep the engine standard. for now any way haha. I currently own a 79 RX30 sedan and a 77 MX32 coupe. About to buy a 1jz n/a for the coupe as the original engine did not run and looked way to fukkn messy. Good luck and keep up the good work.

Okay, got a chance to take some better pics in the day, and get a better look at the car myself. It runs awesome, very cold blooded but once it warms up it runs very well. The driver's side is a mess with all sorts of little dents, and a bout a basketball sized dent on the driver's rear quarter. I also noticed a little tweak in the rear bumper. Everything else is pretty straight really. Some spots are still the original white, and there's about 500 little white primer spots, and a few large areas that are rattle can also. I'm looking at quite a bit of body work to get it ready for paint :P. Oh well, here's some pics!!

btw: anybody know where I can score some jdm all chrome bumpers. The half chrome half rubber bullshit has got to go :P.

That thing looks killer slammed. I think the USDM bumpers give it a certain bad-ass look to it too!

wlecome to the MX32 club! a quick fix to clean up the garish usdm bumpers is to remove the 2 center rubber blocks and put some chrome bolts in there place. They still stick out for a mile but look a lil cleaner.good find on the 32 btw!

I looked into the 1uz as you can pick one up for $1000 but then its computer, fliwheel, clutch etc etc that can start adding up. I love the sound of the 8s tho.
Il keep you posted cos all going well I should have a motor tomorrow.
Think the 1jz with vvt should be a good option for it.

Meh, I think I'm going to stick with the 4m. I might upgrade the carb later, but ultimately this is just going to be a sick cruiser. 4m should be plenty for me.

As long as it drives well theres no reason to change it. Lost count on how many people told me to do some thing with mine. "Put a rotor in it" was my favorite tho.

Well, the guy I got the car from just told me has a carb rebuild for it that he forgot to give me, so I'm going to try that out and see if it fixes some of my running rich/cold blooded issues.

Also... may be picking up some wheels this weekend. 15x10 -20. I called the guy last night and he said I could get them on sunday. But he didnt answer his phone at all today, so I hope he hasnt flaked. We'll see. If I dont get these wheels, I'm just going to start fixing the body and run my ARE's for now :(.
