What years or model did the Swivel Mount Radio Console that mounts on the
trans. hump forward of the shifter.

Is this a rare option?

FWIW, I had an '82 sport coupe with this option. Never seen another one...

Also had a factory sunroof, A/C and just about every other option of the era. My guess is it is fairly rare.

My 80 lift back has one but it has been hacked apart to put a newer radio in and is missing some parts like the release button and the clear plastic trim. It bolts to the floor. I need to see if mine still moves.

Majority of the SR5 sport coupes I have seen had them. I myself have had 3 or 4.

Some of them dont come with the swivel or plastic trim.

I don't think my console swivels but it looks the same. I think all center consoles for the te72 are dealer options as the are not listed in the factory repair Manual at all.

Do some te72's have soft rubber steering wheels? I was at a junkyard today they had a nice hard plastic wheel same color as mine, but mine is much more flexible and soft, sorta like new steering wheels. Of coarse mine is cracked and falling off the metal.

They do have soft and hard steering wheels. Dont care for the soft because they have too much "twist" in them when they get old.

Ok thanks mine is cracked and twisting super bad. I'm hoping to find some vintage aftermarket wheel.
