hello good morning, I am new to the rear wheel drive I buy a TE72 engine 4k recently, thinking about switching engine, a number of doubts come.
originally came with 3t engine now has a 4k.

I want to put a 4age, but not if the differential resist this change of power ...

however the questions are:
- For change to a 4age, I need to convert fuel injection supply, ecu and harness and I have.
- What gearbox choose ... T50? or W58? which is better?
- The differential is code S414, (this is indicated on the identification plate chassis), will be this good differential for the 4age? 414? I did not find info.
-original came with gearbox t41 ¿? t40 is the 4-speed, but t41 ??

I think that would be for the moment, for sure more questions will arise ..

thank you

HI,
i think i can answer some of your question, if its only a stock standard 4age...a T50 gearbox should be sufficient , unless you turbo it, then you need a W58 gearbox...
and for the differential the ratio is 3.31 (S414) non lsd...i think you better find a 4.1 ratio from an ae86 perhaps?

What kind of steering do you have? Rack and pinion, or worm and roller? To mount a 4AGE you will need rack and pinion steering. This is not too hard to accomplish, but it does require swapping a number of parts
