 Post subject: 8R swap?

I had a whole huge thread on my 1971 corona mark ii wagon, and asked this question within the thread, but for some reason the forum has deleted it :(

Anyways I think I remember the answer but just wanted to hopefully hear from someone who knows for sure if the 18R is a direct bolt-in engine to replace the 8R or 8R-C. Car has the stock 8R-C with 4spd.
