Hello, Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is David, im from vegas - I'm a moderator on club lexus. This was a crazy find for me and im just happy to have it. 1981 Toyota century runs and drives well but intermittently will have a hard start and drive funny below a 1/2 tank. Im guessing fuel pump is going bad. Also front air struts are blown. Ive got a couple of other toys that I will post up. Im going to be looking for some replacement parts etc.

thanks!

my other toys include - basic cliff notes,

1999 Lifted Toyota land cruiser (locked and supercharged / weds offroading wheels)
2000 Lexus GS300 (gte swapped/hks coilovers / full junction produce kit)
2004 Lexus LS430 (junction produce kit / 5zigen fireball exhaust / weds kranze)
2013 Lexus GS350 (skipper lip kit / lowered)

2014 Lexus GX460 (wife's car)

can't wait to read more on the boards and get this thing on some proper wheels.

Welcome to the Century Club! :D I have a 1989 model.

If you need any shop manual info please let me know. I bought an official Toyota CD with Century shop manuals from 1964 (Crown Eight) to 1992.

Where did you get your Century from? I bought mine from a dealer in Japan that had got it from its original owner: Horai Iron Works.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I have been actually going crazy looking for something like that. If there is any way I could buy a copy from you that be great!

It all started that I found a century up in northern California. It needed a ton of work, I called a buddy of mine that had one - inquired about finding parts, and he ended up selling me the one he had. The century I purchased was local and he had bought it from the original owner.

Congrats! The craigslist car that was featured here on JNC and some other VIP sites. 1981 is a good year as it still has the charm (and some issues) of the early version, but has good brakes and the larger FI engine unlike the early cars.

Another Century was just sold last week from Pismo Beach CA (early 1967, 3.0 V8, carb, all drum brakes), and is now with its new owner in Pac NW. I sure he'll be chiming in shortly as he's on this forum and already posted on Facebook.
