I'm looking for a set of new gas dampers for my '77 Trueno TE61, but having trouble finding anything suitable.
I've come across a set from Monroe, but I'm unsure if they are actually correct for my car?
I've contacted Monroe and they will only commit to these dampers being suitable for the Corolla KE30 and KE35. My Trueno is of course based on the 3rd gen. Corolla, so I suppose they would also fit my TE61. But then again, I've heard that my TE61's suspension is the same as on the KE55 Hardtop. But was the suspension changed between the KE30 and the KE55?? If it was, then these Monroe dampers might not fit anyway...
So please can anyone clarify for me, did ALL 3rd gen. Corolla's share the same suspension??
Or did later versions (such as the KE55 and thereby probably also my TE61) have an altered suspension from those first KE30's and KE35's??
Here's a link to the Monroes I'm looking at.

Really hoping someone can help me out here as these Monroes seem to be my last option when it comes to gas dampers on my Trueno...
