 Post subject: 4ac to 4age

Is there any bolt on between the motors like exhaust manifold or exhaust system I have an 1983 sr5 liftback and I'm looking at exhaust systems for it it is the same block no?

Same block, but completely different head. Hence, completely different parts for headers and such

dude. going from carb engine to carb engine means you don't have to deal with swapping the fuel system. other than that it's the same thing. "easier" is a subjective thing, might be a weekend and a case of beer for one guy or a month-long headache full of forum hand-holding and ending up with trailering the whole thing to a shop and having them finish it for another. you seem like you're in danger of becoming the latter.

3tc is the cheaper route unless you can score a gts donor car for cheap which are hard to come by as parts pull a premium. Keep in mind that even if you pick up a 4age off an mr2 for cheap there is a few parts that are needed to convert to rwd. Do your homework as it can get expensive. Good Luck. Any pictures of car.
