I'm considering getting a 4dr one of those as a daily driver. Correct me if i'm wrong, but in the us aircon was available on them. How hard/easy to find a functioning unit?
Secondly, does a power steering kit from a later model fit without problems
Thanks

i finely found a old corolla in a local junk yard. it was a 82 corolla but the body code was AE?? anyway a got a good dome light with working switch and cover. my car was missing the cover and the switch. and i pulled the proper hood latch off it. im going back this weekend to pull the spring out of it. i plane on cutting them and then if for any reason it dont turn out good i will still have the stockers.

haven't posted in a long time. i haven't had a pc. so here is an update the corolla is still running. i have got some new used parts from the junk yard like grill, head light trim, corner light cover, and dash parts.

earlier this year i had the old girl out at the drag strip. i ran it in the street class (bracket) and ended up bringing home a trophy. the car ran a blazing high 19. fastest pass was a 19.80 @ 70mph

Bracket racing is all about consistency. And usually the slower the car, the more consistent. 8)

Yeah the car that lasted near the end at my High School drags back in the day was a 80's mazda truck running high 22's lol. Had such a large lead no one could beat him to the line til the end.

yes i got a big start on all the other cars, some could not sit still long enough and turned on the red bulb. the other cars would pass me way before the stripe and break out. there was a slower car that night, some old wagon it ran a 22 but we didn't get lined up. i think he broke out first round. the car was very consistent. i don't have a tac so i just shifted at the same MPH every time. the car reacted so slow i was leaving on the second yellow (5/10 tree) and cutting 01X lights.

OK I was getting my fat butt all comfy in the driver’s seat and POW something let go on the E brake side. Now the back of the seat is crooked like its only being held up on the one side. Is it fixable? Or should I start looking for a new one?
