ive been on usmb and yeah thats what ive noticed, the plan for now is lower with XT front struts and eibach 2.5x9" coil springs in back. put on a 2.5" or 3" turbo back straight pipe and make a 4x140 to 4x114 adapter throw on some old skool jdm wheels. Then, rock it as a daily until i finish up my EF build.

thanks man. its down for the count now cuz of a blown headgasket and a cracked radiator and a broken hood latch cable but my gf really wants it so I might change the project to being in her name. I think she wants to EJ swap it and make it her nanny mobile. :) best girlfriend ever!

Oh the woes of EA82T's. they really where great engines until Subaru introduced boost. I've heard stories about Possum Bourne carrying spare heads in his rally cars and swapping them mid-stage. There are some things you can do to increase the reliability. I thought about a CO2 fogger that only engages around WOT to keep the exhaust gas temps down and keep the gaskets from blowing, or worse, the heads cracking in half.

Can I just swap to a NA engine and not have to mess with the fuel system. Was there even an NA EA82 with multipoint fuel injection?

I'm like 90% positive 280zx (L28et) injectors slot in. Don't quote me on that though. The EA82T is a really fun motor if you keep the modifications well rounded. It has it's design hurtles like any old turbo engine but it's not a lost cause.

Admittedly I have a soft spot for the early Subie turbo motors. The EA82 has a closed deck block just like my EJ22T they're fantastic for boost, only problem is the 82T's can't take the heat! Either the HG blows or the heads themselves crack. There is a company that makes a dual spark DOHC head for the ea82t though, very expensive, but I've always dreamed of making a really killer EA82T powered racer for the Pikes peak hill climb.

Sorry for the rant

Worthless? How can that even be said? Money pit undoubtedly, but as far as EA82 parts go those heads are the best upgrade available.

I mean i guess... Idk if i had the funds i totally would but for half of that i could put in an EJ18, with a turbo and make more or less the same power.
