Hi, came to know of this KE50 in the countryside. Went to have a closer look. The task looks daunting. Rotten doors, to the extent that tapping it-like tapping a touchscreen phone-is enoughfor your finger to poke through! Holes in the rear door and water gutter end. Lower parts of fenders flutter like flags in a breeze, broken grille, tail lamp and dash face, missing bumper ends and a host of other small bits. And it has no engine to top it all.
I have not seen one on the road in ages. Should I proceed, given the loads of parts needed?

Sorry but I'm having trouble uploading pics. Will try to once sorted

Would love to see the pics on this one. It sounds pretty rough from your description. I would lookd for one that at least has all the parts included.

peek under it and take a look at the frame, if it looks alright i would try to get it roadworthy again. if the frames rotted might be better to see if you can strip it for parts

This kinda depends on your skills and how willing you are to get one of these cars. I have seen an oval window VW bug hauled out of its watery grave (bottom of a small pond) and be fully restored.

What kind of TE51 is it? If it is the fastback version, I would be more inclined to save it rather than the te51 liftback. Transmission still there? auto or stick? As stated above, you should inspect it as best you can and consider how much work and $ it will take to bring back.

can do basic stuff myself, problem is finding a body repair shop willing to keep that thing encroaching his premises for a year or so!

its a ke50 liftback. te's were not imported here.

no. last motor it had was a 1n. everything was removed.

est €2-3k. for the bodywork alone!!! of course there's the engine and tranny. And suspension, steering and braking parts which have to be made new. and that's half as much again

doesnt even look rusty, see if the engine turns over or if you can manually turn it at least
