below is a pic of my TE27 engine bay. at one point I painted it with the same KBS coating as the underside of car....I have since changed my mind due to the fact I am bringing this car back as close to original as possible, including the turquoise metallic blue paint. My question concerns the black frame, I will be painting engine bay with the above mentioned paint but I think it would very custom to leave the frame black....the problem comes with the word "custom"....clashes with the word original. just looking for others thoughts..thanks.

If this is for ultimate resale... no black

If... on the other hand.... you truly intend to keep this... then what ever you like

at this point the jury is still out on what I do with the car once done. I want it to be marketable which would probably mean sticking as close to original as possible but I dont like the look of everything in the engine bay being painted the same color. In the factory they obviously did this due to mass production......will be picking up paint in the next week and building a paint booth in garage again....engine bay to be painted, engine/tranny installed, entire car primered and than off to the shop for initial engine fire up and exhaust system. thanks for the input.

I personally like the frame rails painted the same color as the car. just leave the crossmember and the 2 corner pieces in black.

thanks all for the input....as much as I would want to keep the rails black, I will paint them the turquoise blue. as for the drivers side wire harness channel guard...that I may leave black. thinking black ceramic coating on the trd exhaust also. with a 2tg valve cover which is mostly black, should all come together nicely.
