Hello everyone, new to the board. I have searched the web for months trying to replace the windshield seals on both the rear and front glass of my 1977 TE51 (liftback). I hear that the front rubbers are available but the rear is not. If anyone here has replaced the rubber seals I'd REALLY appreciate hearing how and where I can buy seal replacements. This is all I need to get my Corolla back on the road. Someone please help my baby ride again. Thanks

Hey. It is possible to make a seal based on generic lengths. It depends on the profile, and a scan of that can then be used to match off the shelf lengths. Cut, and butt-glued, these can be used.

There are a number of generic old car rubber supplier on the internet. I used Scott's Old Auto Rubber with particular success for example.

Failing that, how bad is your old seal? Is it still in the car? A good caulk with the right flexible seal might assist?

You wont find either front or rear glass seals for a TE51.

Buy repo. oversees ke50, ke55 and get in good with your local glass installer.
