Hi everyone!

We're in the UK and have a Toyota Hiace campervan. It's 1989, 2.0L petrol, 3Y engine.
The exhaust manifold is knackered and the van runs very badly due to this. Can anyone help? Toyota apparently don't make them, I can't find one anywhere and most people seem to think they can't be mended (it's cast).
I think I might be able to get one from Oz at a cost of around £700, but I was hoping to pay a lot less!

Other than this the van is old but great, not the usual rustbucket. Really want to get this fixed!

Anyone got any ideas? I know the UK spec Toyota Spacecruiser had the same manifold and that it HAS to be a petrol 2.0L 3Y engine. But I don't think the Hi-lux will work...

Cheers,

Pete

It's a long shot, but I think the 3Y was also used in forklifts. That may open up more options. Like I said, it's a shot in the dark.

Maybe you could contact this seller on aliexpress and ask to buy only the exhaust manifold. They produce factory new "toyota" engines. So i guess it couldn't be impossible to make an arrangement with them.
