The Car: 1972 RT79 Corona Mark II Wagon

Does anyone have pointers on the best way to get access to the heater blower motor and also to check out venting functionality? The blower motor is on its last leg and when I also turn on the defroster, it only blows a slight cool air through the defroster vents but blows hot air all through the center console, with hot air leaking out of all the nooks and crannies (weird). So i'm guessing there is either a clog or the linkage cables are not properly opening/closing vents?

Best to remove as much as you can and check all the duct work.May have old mouse nests or plugged with insulation.

Get to know the system and see how it functions ,very satisfing.
