Ill be picking up my te31 here soon enough within in this month. Ironically this vehicle was once owned by "hotdog hoagie".Not too much has changed on the vehicle. Now my biggest concern is the rx-7 rear suspension that was installed. I've spoken to the current owner about the car, and he has informed me that it is rear leaf suspension. my real question is how will I be able to lower the vehicle with this rear rx7 installation ? Any insite on this situation would be much appreciated. Any chances of sourcing an original te31 rear suspension Set up ? Or any other set ups that won't keep me limited on my rear wheel choice ? As of now the rear is massively aggressive, which has me a little on the downside because of issues on tire clearance. Ill post a picture once I can get a clear shot of what it looks like underneath.

IMO, a TE31/TE37 rear axle shouldn't be hard to find.

If you can't find one down there, and are willing to travel, I can probably find one up here.

Sweet another TE31. I have no knowledge if the RX7 suspension, but the TE31's on the other hand, is very simple. Here is how it looks stock:

does the rear assembly of an 86 work on my car.

If you are handy, yes. The AE86 use a link suspension whereas the TE31 uses a leaf spring. You can grind off all the link mounts and put a spring hanger on, or just convert to link.
