A bit too "domestic" for my tastes, but that's a common take on S5/S6 crowns.

Tad late on the reply...but I was able to find some other wheels that I might be looking at. Some Hayashi Streets?
Anyways, quite an update since I last posted... The car hasn't gotten as much work done due to my friend's shop getting other people bringing their daily drivers in for more work and those needed the attention. Earlier this month however, I was contacted by phone through my craigslist wanted ad for a 1UZ. After working out a bunch of items that the seller would throw in and the price, I agreed to purchase it and went down to New Hampshire to pick it up with some friends. Once we got back to the shop, my other friends had already set out on taking the Crown apart as there was some rust on the driver side rocker panel that needed attention. Here's some pictures. (I do apologize for the amount of pictures)

On the way home.

Arrived at the shop to find the bumpers had been removed to do the rust and what not. My friend got in the way of the picture and I didn't bother taking another picture.

Turns out we couldn't get the quarter panels off by themselves, but instead take off the front all together.

Off with the body:

Mocking up the engine against the body. For some laughs.

Stuck the front end on the frame while we were cleaning the shop floor, just had to take a picture of it.
