car is sick! Good work. If I had that car, I'd mess it up by droping it too far, and throwing to much dish under it, I'm glad someone more responsible owns it :D.

Aww..... your Celica looks all alone amongst that sea of FWD boringness. Do you want some of us fellow old schoolers to ROLL OUT with ya? We'll show those guys how it's really done. LOL

Image Image Image the engine is finally in the car :woot: still not running but the progress is good. they also had to fab some custom motortmounts to make the 22re as you can see. also got a whole new set of weather stripping from joel at toysport.

the 22re is running. went to the shop earlier today, when I was there the air intake and the exhaust hadnt been finished but still awesome to see her running! even though its just the header that where on there. she sounds freaking mean even more in real life. I gota video and pics from my phone enjoy. Joey and the guys are still finishing up a few other things I wanted done ( all new weather stripping, suspension stuff, locks, etc). Ill be moving this weekend. So I will drive back home next friday to come pick up the car then drive it back the next day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrEuFWaFmdo Image Image Image Image Image Image Image

I finally have the celica back! I picked her up yesterday at PO. The waiting was worth it. She's really cherry now. The 22re is amazing beyond word on how much better it is than the 18rc. No doubt I made the right choice. The torque/acceleration is awesome. I still have plenty of power on tap even in 5th gear on the freeway. When I got back home tried to put the 13" rotas back on the car. they looked good but even with a slip on spacer It would rub the fronts when I turned so I had to put the 14" enkei centerline style rims back on for the time being. I kept here around 65-70 the whole 230 mile journey back to where I am living now. Yes I picked it up and drove that much in one day haha. Only a few things that gona take a little getting used to. With the amount of torque it has its really easy to break traction on the tires. The fuel pump makes alot of noise but im starting to like it. The header has a small exhaust leak at the gasket with the headers which joey is gona fix next time im in town. Besides that though its freaking amazing. They also put all new weatherstripping in the car, made me a light switch so now my lights all finally work, also put in new locks on th car, new suspesion parts, got my heater to work, and new hood hinges no more worrying of my hood coming up on the freeway which it really has done in the past! Thanx to everyone who gave input into the build and helped/provided parts especially Joel at Toysport :2thumbs: Big props to the guys at performance options for doing the build :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: If you wana get stuff done to your car ie engine swap, suspension, etc and you live in the bay area I highly suggest them :2thumbs: heres some pics of her. if you guys got any questions or want me to take certain videos or pics of it just ask Image Image Image [ Image Image Image

The rotas look much better then the solids imo (I like solids, but your car begs for a sporty watanabe style wheel like that :D). If you are are having rubbing issues maybe mess around with tire size a bit, what's the width of the wheel and what's the current size tire you are running if you dont mind me asking :D.
