Figured I'd get with the program and post up some pictures and backstory about one of my current Japanese Classics.
It's a 1982 Cressida Sedan (MX62 chassis code). Has the 5ME single cam straight 6, with automatic transmission.
Has in the vicinity of 85-88K original mileage, and aside from some body damage on the drivers side fender/front door, is in really clean shape.
I picked it up for a song from a member of a forum based about 3 hours north of me (I am located in Lafayette, Louisiana.)
Not too much modification at this point. I did powdercoat the 85 Celica Supra "L-Type" 15x7 wheels and go with Hankook Ventus H437's. I am running 1" Ichiba Wheel spacers all the way around. It also has an Eclipse CD deck with Sony door speakers. Other than that, and basic maintenance/tune-up related stuff, she's pretty stockish.
I'd like to get her about 2-3" lower, although having a solid axle car seems to present a few challenges for lowering the x6. I'd also like to go 5-speed, although I won't rush that - the auto shifts remarkably smooth for a 30 year old car. The goal is to also clean up the body work and probably shoot a new paint job.
Here is a picture of the car as I originally received it in early January -

I took these photos tonight - I just purchased an iPhone 4S this afternoon, and these pictures came out better than my old Samsung point & shoot camera.
