My te72 liftback

So I took the car out for a drive today. The transmission is fine, the horrible noise is from the drive-shaft. Are only the sedan drive shafts fixable? I cant get the carb to idle right even with a rebuild. Would a 38/38 Weber be overkill on this car?

i have the same (as far i believe is the same)noise from my box.......

but ...i dont know how much the bearings cost or even if i can find bearing for this 4 speed transmission.

nope my noise id from the center carrier bearing on the driveshaft and the u joints

Had a Good day today, went to Zapata Auto care and got me some spare parts and stuff I needed. Saw some really cool projects cars. lots of old parts and some of the stuff they are restoring.

Sorry he does not have any of the long door specific parts. I was hoping to find the plastic trim for the hatch/ liftback. He is looking for lift back stuff so if he finds one I will let you know. Stinks cause just last week he sold a whole liftback last week.

Nice Liftback. i have an 82. Great cars. I left mine with the 3 speed, and performed a carb transplant with the 32/36 Holley/Weber from BRD (great people over there) and I also put a 2t head on the car. Waay higher compression, obx (5speed) exhaust manifold. The car really hauls. Next is a cam. Then I shall become a terrorist on the roads lol. BUt you are lucky to live near that haven of oldskool cool.

So After sitting for a year I decided it time to get some work done on the car. I started to get to work freeing up the rear brakes. I think the panard bar is bent. Are the te72 straight or do they bend?
