maybe you had a chance to read my introduction ( viewtopic.php?f=28&t=21823 ). I just got a 1975 Corona and I plan to get a more aggressive look to the car. First step would be selecting the right rim / tire size. I love the ultra low looks that many of you have, but sadly I am currently living in Peru where streets are not too good, therefore too low would not be an option.

I was initially looking for 13" wheels but I fear not to get tires with a low profile that look neat, also to get a clean look with 13" I might need to lower the car too much to look sleek.

I was offered a set of for 8x15 ET 0 wheels, the sales guy tells me that those with 195/50-15 would look sleek and that they would also fit. Definetly the 15" solution would help me to fill the wheelhousings without going too low. Even though I have my doubts that it will fit without too much scrubbing. On the other hand I read that this Corona (http://garagedusty.com/culture-clash-beetle-vs-corona/) also has 8x15 et 0 in front and 9x15 ET10 in the back.

I would like to hear from you guys what would be a tight looking tire combo for my car, which still allows me to turn in a parking lot. I am ware that fender walls will need to be bend over.

ya 15 inch with a one inch drop and rolled lips front and rear with a stretched tire.
Should get you a good driver with a great look.

almost the same body lines, My Corona is a 71. wheels are 15x9 et0

I was Test fitting the fenders and plan on getting spacers to move the wheels about 1 further out.








Oh and my family is from PERU so thats cool too.

I didn't know they made those xxr's in 15x9.

looks great, question is how the 8x15 ET0 out front behave under the original fender without spacers? Did you drive it? any changes nesecary or did it work fine without touching suspension or body parts when turning etc?

Would you have pictures without the fender extensions?
