Hi,
maybe you had a chance to read my introduction (
viewtopic.php?f=28&t=21823 ). I just got a 1975 Corona and I plan to get a more aggressive look to the car. First step would be selecting the right rim / tire size. I love the ultra low looks that many of you have, but sadly I am currently living in Peru where streets are not too good, therefore too low would not be an option.
I was initially looking for 13" wheels but I fear not to get tires with a low profile that look neat, also to get a clean look with 13" I might need to lower the car too much to look sleek.
I was offered a set of for 8x15 ET 0 wheels, the sales guy tells me that those with 195/50-15 would look sleek and that they would also fit. Definetly the 15" solution would help me to fill the wheelhousings without going too low. Even though I have my doubts that it will fit without too much scrubbing. On the other hand I read that this Corona (
http://garagedusty.com/culture-clash-beetle-vs-corona/) also has 8x15 et 0 in front and 9x15 ET10 in the back.
I would like to hear from you guys what would be a tight looking tire combo for my car, which still allows me to turn in a parking lot. I am ware that fender walls will need to be bend over.
Thanks, TK
