Thanks. Yes a lathe is very handy for a car restauration. And the usual tools like MIG welder and so on.

First layer of line seed based rust protection is hammer- tight bonded on the steel. Greyish so it converts the rust particles into iron ore. Good stuff

Furthermore led some new pipings for brake and fuel. Used for fuel 8mm LPG gas fuel line. I don't want to get the carb bowls full of rubbisch from the old fuel lines haha

Did some blasting today, and 2nd layer of rust protective paint is painted on the bottom. Another 2 layers of thicker stuff are needed for perfect black underbody finish.

And can you imagine it was like this before.

When i look at the archiving photos, it scares allmost the hell out of me. :lol:

Did some lathing on the allready light flywheel. I took the flywheel of my 2nd engine, a begin 1980 2T-B with recession in it, and only 10kg. Drillings made it to 7 kg, lathing 6kg

2 Pack high solid epoxy painted on outside. Has to harden out few weeks, then filled and plane-sanded.

With motorbay/trunk i have other paint plans

Filling and sanding..... The work by hand is the best, no machine flattens the surface that nice as a piece of wood and sandpaper. And checking surface is done by hand too.
