I'm moving to San Diego in October!

I picked up a couple sets of old school wheels but waiting to take proper pictures and a few more parts.

The Century has completed its maiden voyage successfully. I picked her up from the Longbeach Port this afternoon and after getting all the paperwork knocked out, she's now parked in my garage here in San Diego!

I deleted my old Photobucket because it had become too cluttered, so I started over. The car is stateside and will have a proper photoshoot sometime this spring. I'm hoping to enter the Century in this years Toyotafest and Japanese Nostalgic Car Show.

Awesome ride! Did you have any trouble registering it in California?

Do you happen to have any parts you don't want? If so, I'd most likely be interested in buying some of them. I know you mentioned different wheels and removing the seat protector covers (the white doily things, right?). Did yours come with the curtains in the back? My car's missing them (looks like someone removed them).

Also if you need any of the shop manual info, let me know.

You have a Century, in Alabama? I do not have any parts for sale, other than a set of 14x7 +15 gold/polished lip Enkei 92 in 5x114.3. Let me know if you're interested.

The seat doily covers are in storage. I put them back on randomly to change it up. Mine did not come with curtains, not all of them came equipped with rear curtains. I've registered the car out of state because California doesn't make anything 1975 and newer easy to register thanks to CARB Certification requirements.

What kind of "shop manual info" do you have? Like maintenance information?

Yeah, bought it last October and I was finally able to pick it up the first of January. I don't really need any wheels, but thanks though!

CARB sounds like a huge pain in the ass. It's ridiculous that they check emissions back to 75 (or older, sometimes).

I bought an official Toyota Century Japanese shop manual CD that covers from 1964 (VG10 Crown Eight) all the way to 1992 (VG40/45). It has repair manuals & wiring diagrams from 1964 to 1992 and owners manuals from 1985 to 1992.

Congratulations on buying a Toyota Century. To my knowledge there are only around a half dozen in the U.S.

What year/model is yours? Post some pictures! I would definitely be interested in seeing some of the VG40 5V-EU maintenance information you have. Thankfully, Ojiisan has been bulletproof. I've only replaced a couple suspension bushings and regular oil/oil filter changes.

Thanks! Mine's a 1989 model. Here are some links to some pictures. I haven't had the chance to do a proper paint cleanup on it yet, so forgive me for the swirls and scratches in the pictures. I'm also not a photographer. :P

As far as the shop manual info goes, I can either zip up an ISO file for burning or zip up the folder structure so you can click through the files. The easiest way to navigate the thing is to click on the first PDF file "ichiran.pdf" and go from there. Let me know which way you want it and I'll PM you.

Also, does your Century have a "Speed Alert" when you get above 105KPH? Mine constantly does a "ding dong" over and over unless you go below 105.

Man, it would be great to get some maintenance information! PDF would be best!

Yes, the Century is geared for Japan big city cruising. It is NOT meant for U.S. highway cruising! Ojiisan is good with cruising at 55-60 mph tops. Beautiful Century. What's the mileage on yours? I just rolled 22,000 km.

Thanks! It's got about 27350k on it at the moment. Picked it up with a little over 27k on the odometer.
