Is that one of the cars with the third driving light under the badge?

No, the cyclops eye was on 82-83 cars as an option. They are sought after for sure and pretty cool. They were known as a "Passing light" by SOA literature.

I am guessing that that car is a 72-74 wagon, but without a more substantial photo of the car I can't tell for sure

Neko - don't say one day, that day will never come along!! I would love an early Subaru for the museum, they're quite thin on the ground here when they were new, let alone now.

Putting together a Mazda/Japanese motor museum. New bigger venue for the museum has been bought, watch this space!

they are out there. with the internet, one can easily save a search, get notified without even trying.

A local forum with sube nuts is great too.

Lately, I have drooled over an 86xt with 33k original miles..turbo ea82.
$2k.
an 88 GL, where the owner swapped an ea81 to a 5 speed dual range (awesome) $800 bucks.

to a 500 mile ride to see, but worth looking..another 1987 with 37k original...I bet it won't see 2k as final price auctioned.

The older ea is difficult to come across, but out there.

Sorry about that! I was more interested in the feel of her, than what she was. I cannot even remember where she is - perhaps out the back of Chichibu mines I think.

Though, I do recall her being a sedan, a small one too. Neko.
