1973 Subaru 1400 GSR

Stats-

1400cc twin carb, Hi Compression, about 93BHP!
Front wheel drive 4spd.
top speed of about 165kms .

Pics when i 1st got it.













I drove it for quite a few months.
Themostat was stuck open. Didnt replace untill I did the water pump and rubber hoses.

FHI 1963 S102 FUJI RABBIT SCOOTER

ENGINE: 48CC 2 stroke single cylinder
GEARBOX: 3 SPEED
ELECTRICAL: 12 Volts with electric START

It still runs and when the weather is good it starts on 1st pop.

Nice Subarus! The scooter is pretty cool. It's nice to see a lot of Subarus coming out of the woodwork lately, it seems this section of the forum was kind of dead.

Sadley thats not the case at the moment. Been using my scooter a little bit. Its the only one thats road legal of the 3.
At the moment Im a student so its a bit hard to keep 2 cars and a scooter road legal.

loving that intake, looks polished as well as dual.

I spotted a weber intake that took idf 40 looking carb , they like what you find on one bank of a beetle engine..

it looks dual, but one linkage. I thought that extremely clever. very rare for ea82 stuff..

I still have no real reason for weber or dual carbs after finding the engine itself is the retarder, the hitachi gets quite large after changing the madness.

1400cc at 93bhp is quite lively, subaru let it rip back then. Thr irony of so many thinking today is better than ever...
