Looking good. I remember seeing this car on Craigslist. Looks like it fell into some very loving hands. Can't wait to see the new wheels mounted on it. Very nice!!!

Thank you! Very loving hands indeed! Me and my girl consider this car our pride and joy! Was thinking of getting tires this weekend... but I just realized Valentines Day is around the corner. May have to wait a couple of weeks. :(

I'm in the I.E. near Ontario. But being in Carson bro there has got to be a ton of little llantera shops over there. Just drive around the lower class neighborhoods and look for them. We have a few in Fontana and Riverside that I go to quite often. You'll be surprised what stuff you'll find at those shops. "RIMS"!!!!!!!

So I figured I would just swap tires off my old wheels for the time being and save up some $$$ for some nicer wider tires after I lower the wagon...

Forgive me on how dirty she looks right now... its raining on and off over here. I'll get some better pix up after a nice wash and tire shine!

Thanks, Ben... she's coming along. May lower the front this weekend. Get rid of the monster truck status! Maybe some spacers on all four corners...

For now I think that's it... I want fender mirrors but I can wait...

Finally had time to wash the ol' Wagon today and snapped some pix:

It really needs a drop up front... I was tempted to have someone heat up my springs but I think I'll pass on it. Thinking of maybe going to a suspension shop to see if they can fab up some front coil-overs. Not too sure how much it would cost... the rear leaf-springs may get straighten out soon after.

Another pic of the two loves of my life:

Still need to fix some of the trim up front and some dents and paint. I have the trim piece for the hood but it's broken. I have to see if I can somehow fix it with a glue gun or something!

You can make them on your printer with the paper designed to go on the inside of the glass. If I was going to do that I'd make it say something else because the way I see it my 810 is a US version, as is his, so it's really not a Bluebird.

I'm well aware it's not considered a "BLUEBIRD" per-se in the US market.... The only reason why names like "Fairlady", "Violet", and "Silvia" were not used here in the USA is because people here are obsessed with "manly" names like "Firebird" and "Nova". The way I see it my 810 is a "Bluebird" at heart but was re-badged. :)

I'm one of the few who enjoy the names our cars (Classic Japanese Cars) were rightfully given by their makers... My personal plans are to "convert" all the badging and image to that of a "Bluebird"... IMO returning a car I love to it's TRUE roots! Call me a true enthusiast! Or not.... :D

Well, that's your preference and I respect that. I'm just not into it or the JDM thing in general; RHD cars, etc. I'm familiar with the names. They're definately part of the history but I have a 280Z, an 810, and a 320 rather than a Fairlady, a Bluebird, and a Ute or whatever the truck would be.

Don't get me wrong... I still refer to my wagon as an 810!

I realize that it's lineage is Bluebird just like mine is Guyana but we're both in the US market now :) . I should have kept more parts from my parts car. I bought a green 79 810 2dr. in 2003 for $75! I didn't run, brakes and electrical were shot and the roof was dented in for where the guy's German shepard slept on it but it had some useful parts. I took what I needed and sold it to Ecology in Riverside for....$75! (free parts!). Looks like you could have used the hood molding and maybe the right side power mirror......
