Can someone please identify the year and model of this Skyline? I believe it's a "Kenmeri" and the owner says it's a '76 but I want to get expert opinion on it. I've known this car almost all my life and I still see it everyday. The current owner still won't sell but I'm hoping to own it in the future. Any info would be most helpful..

Thanks! :D

It's a C210 Skyline, which is the model after Kenmeri. The nickname for it is "Skyline Japan".

You might want to check out the VIN plate - cos it aint a 76!

Unfortunately the wagon only came in 4-cyl version but that doesn't detract from its rarity. The bonnet looks like it has been bent up on the middle though which is weird.

But nice car :D

was the skyline imported to the Philippines? or was it sold by the local dealership? but it's a great find! very rare car indeed.

that car was probably imported from japan in pieces ( chop chop) as they called it locally in the P.I. Then reassembled from the parts. It's most likely a right hand drive car converted to left hand drive. Anyone correct me if i'm wrong

The original owner was a Pinoy with US citizenship. He was an MP in Okinawa when he purchased this wagon and then shipped it over here in the islands when he left the army. It was originally right hand drive but was later converted to left hand when laws here banned the use of all RHD vehicles. All in all the conversion was done pretty well..

Best of luck, I love Skylines and I love stawags, and I'd love to see both built JNC style. :D

Hopefully the deal will be finalized over the weekend.. I have seen only one other wagon here in the Philippines but that was 10 plus years ago, and apparently the C210 wagon is rare even in Japan.. It would be a thrill to own two of the rarest nostalgic J-tin cars over here (the other being my RX3- the only known one in the islands). :)

Yup, I'll have to admit that the rear opera window still takes a little getting used to, although I've been seeing the car on my street since I was, like, 5 years old...
