You are right about the jaguar brake resemblance, that's exactly what my brake guy told me, and the callipers sound very much like what the fairlady roadster twin piston as described was, I haven't seen those brakes (wish I had a fairlady in the shed to go out and look at the brakes).
I came so close to fixing the problem myself that I'm annoyed I gave up. I did actually manage to free up the front callipers and by the time I'd driven it to the workshop they were 100%. All I'd done wrong when putting everything back together was over adjust the one of the rear drums. I feel a bit sheepish, but it only cost me $30 to have the guy check it right over so I got out of it cheap.
I have fitted my 240z bullet fender mirrors to the super six until I can make something to fix the internals of the standard fender mirrors. I had to drill another 4mm hole in each fender and enlarge the hole that the spring goes thru from 16mm to 18mm but if I revert to standard mirrors this will all still be hidden under the base of the mirror stem and will not be visible.
Whitewalls have been ordered and go on on Monday, then I'll take some pics and post up.
I called the fella on e-bay australia with the super six for sale for $1000 to see if he would part it out but he was not up for it. I live too far away to buy he whole car. If someone is queensland buys it let me know because I really want the standard radio and some other bits and pieces.

I've been waiting all week to get my whitewalls fitted to take some pics of my datsun super six, and then do you think I could find any charged batteries to get my camera to work? I tried to do that thing where you turn it on really quickly and try and take a photo before it turns back off but of course that never works.
By the time I charged the batteries it was dark so I took one picture to put on tonight but it's inside my shed so not the most amazing photo.
Still lots to do but it's a good straight car which makes things a lot easier (than the 240z on the rotisery in the background), and has been very rewarding to work on.

Although that would be cool, I think I'm done with big sedans. I will be content to admire them from afar. :P

I really like those old Cedrics,... they have a lot of potential!

Sweet ride

I've always wondered about the rear suspension. 'Cause they did a v8 version of it with the Y40,... did it have the same diff??? (or a stronger one)

My G130-U 2400 is a one owner 138000 miles example that drives really well.
It is only missing the driver side guard badge and the original clock.
Does anyone have these I could purchase?

Hey Errol. Is the clock the same as the 2300 clock? if so I think I have a spare.

Hey, glad to see some more super sixes out there.
Mr Camouflage, is the red one destined for the road some day soon?
Also if your parts car has the "wood look" radio surround trim and original radio I'd be happy to offer you a fair/reasonable price for them, providing you don't need them in your red car.
The previous owner cracked mine and lost a piece while installing a pox radio cassette player.
Likewise for anyone who might have a spare car with these parts.
Thanks!
