OK so I'll be flying to Japan this January to meet my GF's parents. As a treat she somehow got us admission to ZAMA or the Nissan Storage Facility! I don't know how true this is but apparently the museum opens to the public for two months of the year and each month, Jan and Feb, just 2 days each. Has anyone gone? Can we freely take photos? If so, are there any particular pics you'd like for me to take? Otherwise I'm just going to take as many as my iPhone will hold!

As many detailed pictures of the Nissan C110 kenmeri 73 race car! Especially any photos through the windows of the interior and the roll cage setup would be handy so I can make a cage myself.

Thanks in advance mate, and enjoy it. I'm incredibly jealous

When you get to Tokyo, confirm your appointment by phoning 81-46-252-3211, the Zama Operations Center phone number.

The address is Zama Heritage Collection, Zama Operations Center, 10-1 Hironodai 2 Chome, Zama Shi, Kanagawa 252-8501.

Have a good trip!

Go to Coco Ichiban Curry House (Numerous locations) and get it as hot as you can stand it with sweetbread and cheese, nan and a beer.

I have found that the best quick and tasty meals are served at the small eateries in or near the train stations. They are where "Toshio Watanabe" [the Japanese J Q Public"] snacks while waiting for his morning commute and his evening ride back home. Their Soba is uniformly great.

How do you make an appointment to visit ZAMA? I'm going to Japan in Feb...what are the dates that the Public can visit ZAMA...? What other car related stuff can I go see in japan. The last time I went, I couldn't find any big events. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Call the Japanese Domestic phone number that I posted in the seventh posting above. You can talk to the scheduler and see if there are any openings. P.S. you need to first dial the international calling numbers for Japan from your locality.

OK just completed the Zama tour. They were pretty cool about taking pics but only allowed 45m. So during the time there I managed to take frontal pics of every car in the facility. Unfortunately no pics to the back or interior of the cars as you're not supposed to open the cars without permission. While leaving the plant I noticed one shed that was off limits and while peeping in I think I wasn't suppose to see what I saw. Because Nissan has my particulars here in Japan I think I'm not going to post what I shot :-P but let's just say when I get back Ill post them up and you will be like WTF!? Sorry for the teaser but all photos are on my DSLR and can't upload till my return!
