I have finally found time to create a build thread for the Nissan.

So who is Yoshi you might ask?
Image
Above: This is Yoshi, i tried getting him to post up his own build thread but its just not going to happen without treating him 500 times. So i shall do all the posting.

This started out as a South African 1987 Nissan 1400, it had the fat bumpers and square lights. Yoshi was not too fond of this look and slowly started hunting for the Sunny truck parts.
Image
Above: what it started life as...

Image
Above: Yoshi wanted some fogs and a lip... this look did not last long

Image
Above: Ready to hit the streets.

Then after many roadtrips and hunting for parts, they slowly started finding their way onto the Sunny.

Image
Above: With the help of my Brother we imported the Fender mirrors for Yoshi's truck, I also fitted the grill and front bumper .But I was not clued up enough to have the light retrofitted and needed some work to have that put on.

Image
Above: I ask my panelbeater/friend (pictured above) who did my honda if he would help me fit the lights... and he happily obliged and it was done.

Image
Above: all fitted and looking alot better right Yoshi?
Image
Above: he is loving it...

Image
Above: Roadworthied and passed, after many tries... Nanakorobi yaoki (fall seven stand up 8 i guess)
Image
Image
Above: Yay new plates and registered.

Image
Above: Yoshi checking out his new shoes, but did not like it. He is so fussy.

Image
Above: Then he found a suitable wheel (Toms Igetta) and cant wait for it to arrive. its 13x7 (-5 offset for front) going to need some stretch and camber which will be sorted. and rears are 13x8.

Yoshi then went on a roadtrip to see the snow...

Image
Above: He clearly loved it, seen here with my gf, and enjoyed driving in his Sunny.

Until next time, Thanks for looking everyone

I tried getting Yoshi to say Thanks to everyone for looking but all i got was this:

hadlxeh;er hze;q2ek 'aexk ...woof  . So i will rather do the typing haha.

So plans are:
-wait for wheels to arrive
-get camber tops for the front
-if the tyres that are on the wheels dont clear the guards (which i doubt will) then i will have to get some tyres that stretch
-Lower the Sunny

and enjoy it with Yoshi and my GF.

Until next time :tu:

Thank You RandyWanger, i will pass on the message to Yoshi

i will post up after i give the truck a good clean and once the wheels arrive. :tu:

I have plenty pics of Yoshi, but not many with him and the truck...reason being is we go on many roadtrips but I hardly take pics and just capture the scenery and get lost in the moment rather than snapping pics unfortunately. But now with this thread I will be capturing more Yoshi/Sunny moments
Image

Above: (excuse the horrible pic) Yoshi is a weird dog, since we got him he just loved the Sunny. When he hears the keys (he knows exactly which is the sunny's keys and which is not lol) he is ready to go. sometimes we cant take him for runs in the park and he will be satisfied with just taking a drive around the block. how do we know when and if he is satisfied, he will bite our hands when he wants to go..when we come back he will lay down all chilled and relaxed

the pic above you will notice him standing out the window, i dont know where he learnt this, i surely dont put my arms out and neither does my gf. He tends to imitate us alot. so he probably sees other road users doing that.

When i reverse/back out of the driveway he will look to the back almost as if he is driving. and if anyone touches the sunny he will growl or bite at them. Hence why we say its his truck (or so he thinks lol)

It looks like Yoshi is, or at least has, a lot of the Akita breed in him?

Thanks all for the kind words...

i showed my gf that video/blog randy and she loves it. Thanks for that :tu:

wheels were almost fitted but the wrong tyres were bought, the profile was way too thick. Sold those tyres and now waiting for the proper profile tyres for my wheels.

Once the tyres arrive the Sunny will be getting it's shoes fitted, Yoshi's patience is running out. everytime i go into teh garage to work on my Honda or the Sunny he is sniffing the wheels

lets go to some pictures:

Image
Above: at this point i was damn excited...
Image
Above: then i was like thats the stretch i want, over the moon
Image
Above: then reality kicked in...nooooooo. all good going to get new tyres, all a learning curve

Image
Above: then fitted a new lip, much better.

got some stickers courtesy of japanese nostalgic forum/blog
Image
Thank You JNC

Then Yoshi wanted to go driving...
Image
Above: Excited to go for a drive. For those thinking or wondering if he scratches the paint work, not at all and i dont know how he knows it irritates me but he makes sure to use his pads :tu:
Image
Above: a happy dog is a dog in a sanitora

Thanks everyone for looking, next update will hopefully be with wheels fitted and if all goes well i will be lowering the truck.
