Also to let you know how original she is, the windshield is the same windshield that was installed in 72, foggy as hell though :(

Didnt win anything at the roadster show, but its hard to win against all domestics with only 3-4 imports, and when there is no class for original/preserved cars only restored. But was a fun show.

Beautiful car!

I appreciate the work you and Arthur put in it to keep it so original, keep continuing to be it's guardian :)

Thanks man. I scored this the other day, nearly impossible to find these cans, and yet find them in good shape, or for a decent price ( i seen rust bucket dented cans go for over 150 on egay)
Image

These cans were given out for test drives, so a 40 year old preserved can for my 40 year old preserved original 510. Hell yah.
Also flushing the radiator this weekend (been running hot) may be tiem to take the stock tanks, and upgrade to a 3 core ( 3 cores were a rare stock option on these, so at least it keeps with the original theme) Also getting the valves adjusted (was waiting for a nos valve cover gasket) Been experiencing a weird vapor lock issue, just had my carb rebuilt, but ive been hearing a few other people having vapor lock issues the last few weeks as well with older cars, so seems something is going on with the fuel right now.

That gas can is a great collectible to have with your 510, I didn't know such a thing existed! :)

Thanks guys. Now i want to start collecting old cans. Its funny, it had gas STILL in the can, it was in a plastic bag, in a shoe box that was sealed up with tape, in another box wrapped with shipping paper, and i could smell the gas coming out of the box. My mailman is cool though, he said something for your car i guess? I said well its a 40 year old gas can lol. Normally they have to ship that stuff back but he knows all the weird shit i order.

Awesome car. Great story.
About the only thing I can think of that I would do to that car is add a JNC sticker to a side window....easily reversible, but maybe get others thinking about preserving/restoring.

Yah i need a sticker, got a jccs one from the show. I had alot of old club stikckers from the last 30 years on the front windshield, but when i imported her from canada i was forced to peel 90% of them off...was NOT happy, but they said they were a sight issue (even though they were NO WHERE in line of sight)

Got valves adjusted, motor looks brand new inside still, leaned out the choke (thanks Dan Heart) then some non ethanol fuel, and shes running perfect. Cruised around in her for a bit since we have some nice weather. Also took purple otu for a spin, really need to clean purple up, but it was yard work day.

I dont want to start a new thread, but i got a 610 wagon to go with my 2 510's. This will be my daily driver to replace my pathfinder. Im keeping the pathfinder, but i want more than 16 mpg. She has some rust, but i got extra doors, and whole front end for her. She runs and drives strong, which is whats important, but its just going to make her look better. Plus 610's are a bitch to find, especially a 73, and to have a goon. Im very excited.

Very cool find.
Think we're going to need some high-res pics in the wagon thread...

So i got this cool lil led sign made up for my car. It lights up blue, laser etched acrylic.

No changes, just cleaned her up as usual since nothing on her changes. I broke a tooth, was planning on putting new carol shelbies mesh on my purple 510, then fixing the brakes and clutch master cyl on her. Then put the enkies gold from her onto my 610 wagon, and repaint the hood and grille, but i broke a damn tooth just flossing this morning, and it killed a whole day of car plans :( Luckily it gets pulled tomorrow. But heres some photos.
