Re the air filter for the Prince engine. There is an outside chance that a 310 Roadster 1600cc engine filter element might fit inside that housing. If the roadster filter is too long, the RL411/R411 SSS sedan filter is about an inch shorter but way too scarce.

I think I found an alternative air filter for the car. Some of the old Opel "Bosch" airfilter looks the same.

I have temp plates on the car now! It's only good for 30 days so hopefully, I can take care of the mechanical issues so I can get the permanent plates. There is a clunking and creeking issue when I wiggle the wheel left and right and when I turn the steering to the right also. I hope that it's not the whole steering gear and ball joint that needs replacement since it will take a few weeks to find one!

If anyone know where I can also buy an oil pan gasket, let me know. I have a small leak and I rather replace the gasket and do it right instead of using a sealant.

I just got back from my deployment and the car is still in Germany. Anyway, the car was seating for 6 months and it didn't want to start. I did the basic fuel pump, alternator, carb check and still nothing. After replacing the old AC Delco spark plugs with some new NGKs...I am happy to say that she is back up and running.

I still need to replace the bushings, steering coupler (big clunk when I turn), and the exhaust. I also need a heater hose (running form the block to the inside of the car). She runs and can be driven to the Autobhan but need some carb tuning. I am running too rich....

Finding parts is the hardest part...

I'm not sure if anybody touched on this. The G20 with the red valve cover that you posted is using an R16 Fairlady 1600 roadster carb setup. Which not only use the better "round top" Hitachi SU copies but also the air filter and rebuilt kits are very common. Beautiful car by the way!!! It's always such a pleasure to see G20 powered cars. As far as Nissan engines went it was unequaled for almost 20 years! :tu: :tu: :tu:

Just a quick update...the car passed the inspection so she is now driving with normal German plates!

Too much hate for Rota. The only problem with the Rota designs are the sizes. I think 14 looks better.
