while installing the new header I've broken two of the old studs(i over tighten everything.. its a flaw.. i know)

so while i did some quick searching on ebay, i saw some exhaust studs for SR20's, RB20,s and RB26's, and a plethora of other makes/models, and was just wondering if anyone was using ARP's and if they had the part number they ordered handy. if not, i will just check the thread/pitch and length and find the right ones.

Domo!

I just got the regular studs from Zstore. They are only meant to be done up to 12 ft-lbs, you know :)

They are a pretty small-diameter stud, so can't take all that much before they go snap. Not sure if ARP does 'em...

i should definitely back them off then, and then try to tighten them to specs.

ahh i see. i was talking a buddy who has an evo, and he says that if im using a stainless header that i need to get stainless studs too, something about the way the stainless is stiffer and is likely to snap studs. im going to still look into buying ARP's just because im 100% sure the OEM''s are too tired for my shinanigans..

If you are concerned about your superhuman strength, use a shorter wrench :)

Or hold it lower down the handle :D
