Part 23: My photo shoot with Anthony Mair!!!

After a long hiatus, I was approached by a friend who normally focuses photography work on people and places. I've worked with Anthony in the past for my "other" car:

This was taken back in 2010…

By mid 2011 we decided it was time to shoot the hako…we got together and took some snaps. It took over a year to get them published. Only recently have they seen the light of day. The Jan 2013 issue of Import Tuner and now…

on their website as well: http://www.importtuner.com/features/impp_1301_1972_nissan_skyline_2000_gt/

Here's a pic I think they could/should have used that (I thought anyway) looked great…

I am now at a point where I will not be able to do more unfortunately, my job has put on pause for awhile so I won't be able to do much as I will be away from her for quite some time. I really miss working on my car. Every time I go home I try to put in at least one full day for her, most of my time is with the family. Until then, I hope all of you enjoy working on your cars as I do mine. I guess I'll just stockpile parts for now…

How ironic this final part is Part 23…"Ni-San"

To be continued…Part 24: Reunited

Well I am finally back. I have retired from the Air Force and am currently rebuilding my relationship with my family after being away for almost 3 years(!) Reuniting a family and bringing together two separate households (a man collects alot of crap in 3 years) and sorting out what to keep is rather exhausting. After a month or so of settling back in I found myself finally working on the old girl. I pulled the cover off (and some cobwebs), took her down from the jackstands, checked her fluids, and put some air all 4 tires. She started right up... with the help of a jump from her sibling (a '91 Corolla sedan I use as a daily); she coughed and gagged a little, but I think once I get through the old gas and change out the fuel filter she'll be right as rain.

Part 24: Reunited...

I couldn't help myself and I decided I wanted to install at least one thing (I've been amassing a few things while I've been gone) since we haven't spent much time together. But I couldn't do it until I fixed an old problem thats been bugging me. If I installed the new toy it would just get on my nerves that I didn't fix the old problem first. So off with the instrument cluster surround:

The socket for the Temp gauge bulb had slipped out and I wanted to put that back in and secure it so it wouldn't happen again...

Viola! Good as new!

I'm really happy to finally get my hands on my car again, I have a few things in the works and I hope it will be worth all the effort. Till next time... keep it real.
