First off - thanks to everyone for sending YAJ links... I appreciate all the help in finding these parts!

And I've got a couple people helping to bid on stuff on my behalf in Japan - so a big thank you there too!
I do wish however that YAJ would just open up to worldwide, and that Japanese sellers would be fine with mailing overseas...
Would simplify things a bunch... :)

47hako: I too spotted the radio console you just sent a link to (50000yen buy it now), but found it odd that it was soo shiny - maybe the seller armored all the heck out of it and then took a flash picture... It does check most of my boxes though... decisions, decisions...

A question for all of you, and maybe I wasn't being clear before, to the right of the radio there looks to be a pull knob with a headlight icon and a "P" - I assume this is for parking lights.
What I can't figure out is that on my center console, where the toggle switches are, I have one labeled "F" which seems to do the same thing...

Was the "F" toggle switch meant to turn on foglights, and someone in Japan instead re-wired it to turn on the parking lights?

In other news, while digging around under the rear seat I found a "RH Factory" sticker - there's a second "RH Factory" sticker under the hood, so I'm guessing this is where my C10 called home in Nagoya, Japan... Unfortunately their website is down, so they might be out of business.... The info I was able to dig up about them is several years old. All the other stickers are parts brands. Interesting to find out more about its past history.

The Park Light switch does a weird thing. You turn it left or right, and either the left or right park light will come on (kinda like a Mercedes Benz when you turn it off with the indicator pushed to one direction). I guess it's for when you're parked in a dark street and you want your car sorta illuminated.

So not the same function as foglights, I don't think I've ever used the park light function in my car!

Aha!

I see

So the "F" is indeed intended for fog lights then...
Makes sense about the parking light thing... yeah i've seen that...

don't know who does that though and what that does to your battery life, lol...

that parking light thing is a JDM-ism lol. when people pull over they set the parking light for the side of their car thats pulled over kind like to say :I'm sitting to the left on purpose. or right.. which ever the case may be.

modern folks here do it when they have a phone call. and they seriously do it EVERYWHERE.. its SO annoying. just pull over a little and assume no once will run into them. even when theres an empty parking lot 10 feet away just stop. put on parking lights. talk on cell phone..

I know right? The most I've ever seen one go for was about $1000US, it was NOS, but had no Console Top, Flip Cover Box, switches, or covers. Still expensive...

Friends

Fellow c10 owners

Businesses like Feast, RHD Japan, etc

You've got lots of options Jose

Real slippery slope though if you start ordering Parts before you take delivery of your silver C10... ;)

Woooow...I think I'll be more careful in future when I'm screwing around with mine. I'd imagine that after shipping, a whole centre console be an eye watering price.

Wait till you see how bad my original center console looked when I first bought my car (The thread I started on my car will have a pic in the future, I got sooooo lucky!)

FYI shipping effing SUCKS..
then you have to fund the shipping to you from the buyer.. so figure in double shipping, AND double wait time.

:(

My center console came in horribly poor shape, too. Someone in Japan "modified" the original center console with a huge, poorly cut hole for a double DIN mini-disc player. I got a replacement center console and it looks much better now.

there is enough of the console left that someone skilled with fiberglass work could save it
