That IS a good question...

Smog cut-off is 1975 or older in CA of course

But Importing vintage cars to the US is under a federal 25year cut-off
So Mason's R30 is not required to meet federal crash and impact standards because it's past the 25year cut off

But I imagine that he will have to smog it...

I wonder how CA CARB is going to deal with that?
Are they just going to expect you to hit 84 Nissan/Datsun emission levels for a comparably engined car like a 280ZX Turbo or 300ZX Turbo

Nice car. For some reason meshies on any Nissan/Datsun just never sat well with me either even if they did come stock. :tu:
