I bought the 810 new in 1980. Model was one year old. Price: $8900. It now has 147,000 miles on it. Runs good, but has hail damage. Every thing works. AC will freeze you out and was never touched. AC pumbing is a work of art. Never a leak.

Plan on keeping it, but browsing here to see what I can do to it that'll make it more sporty.

It gallops like a sway back horse. Needs new shocks big time. Is a real widow maker on icey roads in the winter.

Have never had a car repainted. What price range could I expect to find for a complete repaint job ??

Were it mine, I'd fix the holes, paint it, and leave it alone. If really pressed, I might swap for smaller bumpers and round headlamps of I could find them at all, and if the engine ever let go I'd replace it with an L28e, or turbo.

I like the wheels, is that a vinyl top too? Glad you've kept it around for all these years...

Anywhere from $500 to $5,000. Just depends on how "nice" you need it to be, and how extensive/involved the paint job is.

If you can take all the trim off and prep it yourself, you can usually get a pretty decent paint job in the $1000-1500 range. If you drop it off at a reputable body shop as is and say "handle it", expect it to be in the $3000-6000 range.
