heat shield for triple side-draughts on L series 6

Hey guys, Just a quick question.

Who supplies the heat shield trays you often see under triple side draught carbs to suit a 6 cyl L-seriese like the one in the picture in the banner up there ^
Is it something people often fabricate themselves?

I've got a sheet of that ACL stuff in there at the moment that works perfectly well but its pretty ugly. I reckon those trays finish off the engine bay nicely.

Here is one of many places that sell them in Japan. Its a very simple design Im sure you could fab something with the right tools.

the nicest one i've seen so far come from Protec Japan, see here:

But i think the cheapest and easiest way to get one, is just to make one by yourself.
