 Post subject: Datsun vs. Nissan

Hello Everyone!
I have a question.

I have seen datsun 240k's and I have seen nissan skyline kenmeri's.
What are the differences I know kenmeri's where sold in Japan and I know 240k's where sold in Australia/other.
But what are the differences cosmetically and mechanically (If they even are any)?

(I am a noob on this website and about Jcc's in general.)

pretty sure the jap spec ones had an L20 and the Australian 240k's had an L24. And the Lights/rear garnish were different between the jap spec and australian models.

and Japan got an S20 powered GTR model.

thats about all I know about them and can input :tu:

The whole datsun/nissan badging thing was dependant on the market the car was being sold in prior to the datsun name being dropped in most markets circa early 80's.

Like benny said, in australia they had the L24 vs the L20. A S20 GTR was availible in Japan only, think production numbers was 100 units in total.

Cosmetic besides badging was the tail lights, door mirrors to satisfy ADR requirements, GT model was also offered in aus early on not sure on the mechanical spec there.

In australia, yes - both sedan and coupe, in C110 form were badge 240k's.

Will do, hes spent a crapload of time rebuilding it from the ground up - fresh paint, injected and heavily cammed L28 [220rwhp] etc etc.

A 197 genuine "kenmeri" GTRs were ever made; they command some real big dollars in Japan in any condition.
