Rear brake conversion
First i installed used maxima calipers from the junk yard, but im not too confident in them being used (i took them apart and replaced seals, but still ), so i'd rather have piece of mind, so i ordered some rebuilt calipers, waiting on those.
I really didn't like the way alot of american cars mount their fender mirrors. They just look incorrect (too forward and inward). I found the reference diagram on the bottom on minkara.carview.jp a few weeks back, i forgot what page exactly.
Top half is what everyone goes by. Which i feel is incorrect. Some guy measured his jdm car's holes , and everyone just reversed it to lhd.. But I swear every car that did that, looks funny http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/u ... ors_lf.jpghttp://bringatrailer.com/wp-content/plu ... resize.jpg http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l276/ ... It makes a big difference. Once you realize it, its hard not to notice it.
I also asked mr. shoji inoue (of Star Road) on facebook if the measurements where correct. He was nice enough to send me pics of his measurements, which where very close to that diagram. So i just went with the diagram.
I sold my jdmflares zg flares, and the marugen shouki zg flares arrived today. Can't beat jdm fiberglass. I think Japanese people take extra care and are more passionate when making fiberglass parts.. Just about everything jdm fiberglass Ive worked with was perfect. (I had a origin labs bodykit for my rx7 that I sold, but fitment and quality of that was amazing too).
Look at that fitment!
I know it is a small detail overall, but i won't be running any fender welting/trimming on the flares like everyone else stateside does.
JDM cars don't run any fender welting =)
