My 86' 300zx

Stumbled across y'alls site when I googled a 260z. Didn't know there was as much love for the classics!

The ole' brute just turned 25 this year. She's a 2+2, 5 Speed, non turbo :cry:

with T tops and the digital dash. Maroon interior and leather.

Was on base 350z wheels but back on the factory rims. I've polished them almost to a mirror shine, but I don't have current pictures of them, maybe tommorow

I think the best part is the VG motor can take an easy 300-350whp without cracking open the motor. Which isn't to shabby.

I'm actually waiting on an email back from a guy with a 74 260z that needs a clutch and hoping he'll trade me.

IMO Straight 6 > V6

well mine comes with the 200zr cut, red top rb20det, hard to find parts for vg cars here

I like your Z. Although I don't agree that the I6's in the old Z's were better then the v6. I have4 always wanted to get a 240 or 280 z and put a v6 in it.

While I agree due to the VG being capable of more power (in stock form) than lets say the L series, for pure astetics I prefer a straight 6 (of course the RB series first, but also the L series.)

good stuff man, that VG is something, here its hard to find spares for most of the old cars from datsun or nissan, still I think it is a strong car and classic better than ferrari or 911, cheap and strong.

I think the L series engines where the best engines suited the classic Z cars, as for V6 engines I think this is when nissan went crazy as it was high priced and hard to find spares, don't get me wrong I like V6 engines but I certainly like to hear an L6 roaring under the bonnet, I don't have a Z car, but I have laurel C31 with wonderful L20 6 cyl engine, the odometer says about more than 2,000,000 Km :shock:

it still works although the car is in bad shape and the carburator is leaking(just called the dealer and they sayed that they didn't have any repair kit or replacement as these cars are obsolete :cry:

)

if your car is non turbo, try putting the 300ZX turbos on it and see the change in the VG performance :twisted:

I had a Z31 parked in front of my house for the longest(still for sale too). These are beautiful cars when they're loved and taken care of. Looks good so far. The 16's are bit plain to me in my opinion but an upgrade from stock.
