check the intake bood after the afm.. when i bought my 77 810 had the same issue, the bood had light dry root and craked threw slightly but.. my fix was get a new roll of electrical tape and got to wraping the the ribs and and the hole boot .. all in all it worked at a cost of a half a roll of tape ... hope it helps
