All Zs are worth saving. I think the real question is, "Do I have the time and money to save it."

From those 3 shots it does look pretty damn rusty but I've seen worse cars come back fully restored.

Whoa... that's alotta rust. Is the chassis just as rusty? I got rid of an excellent, running 85 Celica GTS, with less rust than that, because the chassis needed rust work.

Good Luck, and congrats on saving another JNC. Also, love the ATS gold rims. :tu:

Ouch on the rust and lack of glass. Those are darn cool rims though.

Thats a lot rustier than the ones I see in wrecking yards in Australia ! However who am I to comment, Im restoring something just as bad, it can be done just takes more time :)

Are new panels still available for these cars ? I seem to recall something from a few years back that Nissan USA were selling refurbed 240/260z's. Sorry if Im wrong Im Datsun inept

Nice car! Just a few hours of work to get it on the road! :P

Do you have plans with it or just to store somewhere in a garage for many years? :o

I have shipped numerous bodies to finland (one of thier friends owns halmari shipping in houston tx) and one to the neds....everytime it has been 800-1200 depending on time of year if you ship one or two cars, etc....but a small price to pay for a rustfree car vs that thing up there....think of it this way, there are nice 240,260,280z's and 280zx's here for 2-4k (running and driving) so for under 5k usd you could have a nice running driving car (shipped) and full of any extra parts you want/need while you are at it.

I was just letting you know if you want one or know someone that doesn it really isnt any different than shipping one from tx to ny or cali, except for the import paperwork, but again a small price to pay for a completely rust free car vs one that will take ALOT of time and money (even if you do your own welding).

i get your point and thank you for your offer, i have been searching for cars in the usa, and asked around at different companies for shipping quotes, all of them were about 1500 dollar.
if i have to buy a car for lets say 3000 dollar and pay another 1500 dollars for shipping, and pay for import etc i will end up with a car that cost me 5000/6000 dollars.

for that kind of money i can just buy one thats is already here, they cost the same.

now i paid 200 euros for this one, so that leaves 4800 euros to get it how i want it to be, and when i am done i can say to myself that i completely build it myself and it is ready for another 20 years on the road.

i've seen usa imports over here with cracked dashboards, badly fixed damage, crappy engines and all.
Would be sorry if i had spend my money on a car like that and still have to do a lot of work to it to get it how i want it.

so ill stick with this and gather parts for it, maybe ill come across another body and use that, maybe not :)
