nice stuff, mate! where did you get the manuals from?
Are those whiteline springs? Did they come with CH-certificate?
Still haven't decided what type of springs i should go for. seems like so far only eibach by petitjean would be avialeble with CH-certificate.

Looking forward to see your build going on :)

Great to see a 1800L beeing rescued. Used to own one , must be 25 years ago now.. Had it for 5 years - 200000 kms.

Was my first car so took a beating - even had it on the side a couple of times but was never long before it was fit for fight again.

Bulletproof engine and gearbox (was a bit dangerous for passangers kneecaps when aiming for reverse tho) . Killed 3 diffs so not its strongest point.
I had a pair of su carbs on for a while and have seen twin weber sidedrafts so
manifolds exist. Dont know if aftermarket or oem.

Never understood why datsun downgraded to the L engines when they had the G.
180B sss were weak compared to these

Was a great car. Mine was set upp with a stiff front end and soft rear. Handeled well.
Good luck with project. Cheers

@tojo
thanks for the input. there are not many people i know who had a c30 laurel.you are approx. nr5. :D
how many do you know who ever had one?
i also want to get webers on mine.but i have no experience with them.mabe my father has.he was mechanic for about 30 years,i think he knows a lot about old engines :D
it would be no problem to weld a custom manifold for me.its my daily business.

now back to the project!!

i thought i have finished the welding works till i ve found that:
Image

thats what i've found under 1cm bondo!!!!

Image

don't think about it!just cut the rusty sheet out......

Image

and replace it!!
Image

and don't forget the paint

at the moment i'm removing the whole undercarpaint.after that the laurel will get new undercoating and new undercarpaint.

(OMG i have to get english lessions!!and sorry about the photos i was not able to turn them on imageshack!!! :td: :td: )
