EXACTLY...I think the stock ca20e is a VERY reliable engine. I don't know WHY, guys swap the CA for the KA24de(twin cam). Those engines give more power, but always need valve adjustment, and are crappy. I love the KA24e(single cam) in my S13, it needs NO valve adjustment, with it's self adjusting valve lash.
I think the SE V6s are more trouble-prone in the 200sx chassis(due to the crampness of the engine bay).
Although, the same stock V6 is GREAT in the 300zx chassis... my mom's '87 300zx gave us zero problems, since we bought it new in '87 till the time we traded it in, in 2000.
