my 1962 Prince Skyline Deluxe 1900cc, which ive finally got the fuel issue sorted, which turned out to be a blocked pipe. Thought id take a vid of the test run, which went really well.

You're so lucky! That's an awesome car & in really good condition too. Sounds like it rides really smooth. I love how while in motion you can hear all the mechanical parts doing their job. The gears whining, the road noise from the old tires etc. I imagine its pretty fun to drive. :D

It still sits on the road very nicely, although it handled like a bit of a pig when it had cross ply tyres on it. Radial tyres changed the handling for the better without doing anything else. They were probably no worse than any other car of the same era. It has been likened to driving an old comfortable lounge suite.

The gear whine seems to be common to them, its very distinctive. While that vid was taken the drivers window was completely down also, so they are still a quiet car on the road.

Be interesting to hear if yours does it too. Hopefully you will know very soon. Kyteler with the yellow 63 Skyline says his whines the same too. I guess the view from the drivers seat will be pretty much the same as yours.

yep, pretty sure they were all the same design, there was either a 3spd or 4 speed box though.
