hello im new to the forum but i thought i would show you my ride its a 1979 datsun cherry in pretty good condition and only 41k on the clock ...
i got it standed about a gear ago now (i swapped a 1975 mazda rx4 for it and another car and no i do not want to talk about it or i will cry lol).

ok since i got the car i have removed the side stripes put 15" alloys and spacers on it put arches on it put a front bib on it lowered the front end , installed a cd placer under the dash ,installed rear seat belts (for the kids)

so here it is let me know what you think.

when i got it

FYI, the 240ZG bolt-on flares are fairly affordable and would improve the looks of the car quite a bit. :tu:

year they are nice arches and not to exspensive but i am gona stick with the little ones just to be a bit different it seems ever 180/200zx and mr2 has these on at the minute and i would just be adding to it so i have made a choice to use NO datsun or jdm stuff and go i bit crazy .
wheel arches have been modified from a kit car (took a long time)
front bib spoiler is from a classic v.w beetle
rear boot spoiler is from a classic rover (not fitted yet)
side skirts modified gutter (i kid you not) also not finnished yet

my aim is to do something different because im not skilled enough to pull off the jdm hill racer look ..

so im going all weird on this one might turn out rubbish but thats the fun making something your own .

started work on my rover rear spoiler. was a bit big so needed cutting down
<a href="http://s672.photobucket.com/albums/vv90/mrsimonnorris/?action=view&amp;current=IMG_20110120_154540.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/vv90/mrsimonnorris/IMG_20110120_154540.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
had to drill some small holes so i could bend the metal bar inside to make the spoiler the right shape
<a href="http://s672.photobucket.com/albums/vv90/mrsimonnorris/?action=view&amp;current=IMG_20110123_110327.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/vv90/mrsimonnorris/IMG_20110123_110327.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
got a tear in the spoiler when bending it so had to glue it with a clamp ..
<a href="http://s672.photobucket.com/albums/vv90/mrsimonnorris/?action=view&amp;current=IMG_20110123_110358.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/vv90/mrsimonnorris/IMG_20110123_110358.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Next step fixing it to the boot FUN FUN lol
